An exhibition promoted by the Basque Country Technology Park is bringing together influential women from the past and present who have shaped the fields of science and technology.
Hosted at the Laboratorium Museum in Bergara, the exhibition has been opened to the public from the 15th of January to the 15th of February during the museum’s regular opening hours. It forms part of the wider Emakumeak Zientzian initiative, alongside complementary activities organised to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
Titled Women who changed and are changing the world, the exhibition highlights the vital contributions women have made to scientific and technological progress. By connecting historical pioneers with contemporary professionals, it sheds light on work that has often remained unseen while offering visible role models for future generations.
The exhibition is structured in two sections. Women who changed the world focuses on women who played a defining role in the history of science and technology, while Women who are changing the world showcases the impact of women currently active in these fields. Together, the exhibition delivers a clear message about the importance of representation, recognition, and continued progress in science and innovation.
