On 20-21 November 2024, Alicante Science Park (PCA) was the venue for the APTE’s XXII International Conference, where national and international experts addressed the challenges and opportunities in the transfer of knowledge and innovation.
The event brought together representatives of Spanish science and technology parks, European experts in research, transfer and development, as well as regional development agencies with the aim of strengthening coordination between key players in the process of technology transfer and innovation. IASP Director of Partnerships and Operations, Alicia Shelley, participated in the inaugural roundtable, bringing an international perspective on the impact of STPs/AOIs on knowledge and technology transfer.
During the event, outstanding initiatives were recognised, with an award going to IASP members Science and Technology Park Cartuja for best practice in science and technology parks of 2024: Smart Mobility Cartuja Challenges, and a runner-up prizes awarded to Parque Tecnológico de la Salud de Granada for ‘Aibot Experience’.
Gijón Science and Technology Park will be the organiser of the 23rd APTE International Conference in 2025.
