Basque food cluster has launched a free digital tool to help food and beverage SMEs in the Basque Country assess their sustainability performance using ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria aligned with European reporting standards.
Developed within the FoodESG Project, the tool enables companies to easily prepare sustainability reports that meet growing demands from customers, administrations, and investors. It covers key impact areas such as carbon footprint, water management, biodiversity, circular economy, and working conditions.
By simplifying sustainability reporting, the initiative aims to strengthen corporate reputation, attract investment, and boost competitiveness in the food sector. The tool is available now on the Basque food cluster website
